As a lawyer practicing exclusively in the areas of family law and child protection, I am focused on finding practical solutions for children and families. I work with clients to advocate for their interests and achieve creative solutions that fit their needs and priorities. I recognize that when a client turns to a family or child protection lawyer, they are often moving through a difficult and stressful time in their lives. I advocate for clients within the unique context of their family, with a focus on high-quality service that is results-driven, efficient, and child centered.
I am a zealous advocate for my clients both inside and outside the Courtroom. As a member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer’s legal panel, I am well versed in high-conflict cases and recognize the importance of putting the voice of the child first. I have experience litigating at various levels of Court, including on appeal at the Divisional Court. I am trained in collaborative family law, and appreciate the value of engaging mediators, arbitrators and other professionals to work with and for the family.
I currently act as a contributing editor to the publication Wilson on Children and the Law and serve on the executive committee for the Toronto branch of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund. Prior to joining Tammy Law, Barristers & Solicitors, I worked at a small Bay Street firm, practicing exclusively in family law. I completed my articles at the Office of the Children’s Lawyer and have previously worked and volunteered with organizations including Legal Aid Ontario, the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, and SickKids Hospital.
